Come and visit our newly redeveloped Museum where you can learn about one of Scotland's great Highland regiments and the lives of everyone connected to it. Exciting displays of objects, pictures and stories are presented in imaginative ways with something for everyone from sport and music to medicine and Royal connections to stories of heroism and derring-do.
The Museum lays out The Argylls' story as you've never seen it before. Our thematic approach has enabled us to highlight every aspect of the lives of the soldiers and their families throughout the Regiment's history: the communities they came from, their experiences overseas, life in barracks and off duty, as well as their fighting exploits. Visitors will benefit from the knowledge of our guides, many of whom served in the Regiment, as they journey through 225 years of the Argylls' history.
The Museum is housed in the King's Old Building, one of the oldest structures in Stirling Castle. Our redevelopment has opened up a new floor of galleries and improved access within the building, as well as revealing many of the original architectural features and tying together the histories of Stirling Castle and The Argylls. Providing a fitting home for The Argylls' story and collection, it is a jewel in the Stirling Castle experience.
